Clifford is the only horse in history to have won the 5* Adelaide International 3DE three times. He is among a small group of horses to have ever won the same 5* event three times anywhere in the world.

In 2016 Clifford was also named Eventing NSW horse of the year and Australian Domestic horse of the year.

In 2015 he represented Australia at the Oceania Championships.

Clifford is one of the most winning Event horses in Australia. Hazel Shannon began riding Clifford at the introductory eventing grades in 2011. Since then, they have worked their way up through the grades and progressed into serious contenders for the next Australian Olympic team.

Clifford and Hazel have spent a year in England striving for selection for the 2022 World Equestrian Games in Pratoni, Italy. During this time they successfully completed Millstreet 4*L in Ireland and were part of the Australian team for the Nations Cup in Le Pin au Haras, France. Clifford and Hazel were the highest placed combination on the team. They placed 17th out of 112 starters. The combination was then selected as part of the Australian team for the 2022 World Championships. They delivered another solid performance to place 39th out of 88 of the best horse and rider combinations in the world. This was Hazels first Major Championships. Hazel and Clifford are now returning to Willinga Park to continue their training.
